About the Parish

Locking is a  Civil Parish in North Somerset, England. It is a predominantly quiet residential area of North Somerset, 3.5 miles (5.6 km) south east of the town of Weston-super-Mare. It sits within the Weston-super-Mare and Villages parliamentary constituency, John Penrose MP is the duly elected representative.

As well as a Doctors Surgery and dispensing Pharmacy the Parish  has 2 community halls and a church hall, Church, 2 Pre-Schools, 2 Primary Schools, a Post Office and many other local businesses.

Locking Book Exchange & Parish Pantries 

Locking Book Exchange at the Locking Parish Hall is open Mondays between 12.30pm - 2.30pm 

The Parish Pantry will be open at Locking Parish Hall, on Tuesdays & Thursdays 09.30-12.30pm just knock at the Parish Council Office for access, the Pantry is open to Locking residents, all that we ask is that you "Take what you need - Leave what you can".

Defibrillator situated at the front of Locking Parish Hall -  What3Words: retrieves.packets.host.

Thanks to all who have supported the effort to get it here. Don’t forget fundraising goes on to obtain a second one for elsewhere in the parish.

We are also looking for a volunteer to carry out monthly checks on the defibrillator.
