Following a competition to name the newly refurbished meeting room, Councillors agreed to name the room the Nurse Thomas Suite. A plaque, photograph and brief history is in place serving as a testament to Nurse Thomas’ legacy.

The grand opening took place on 31 October with Locking residents, Councillors, hall hirers and the new vicar all enjoying a buffet and drink.

The room is already proving a success particularly with the people who attend the Community Living Room every Tuesday 10am-12noon.
