Locking Parish Hall and Nurse Thomas Suite
Locking Parish Hall and the Nurse Thomas Suite are available for hire every day (including Public Holidays) between 8am and 10.30pm by private individuals or groups.
Private Individuals
Private individuals may hire the Parish Hall and Nurse Thomas Suite, for example for a party or family gathering. Private Individuals are:
• Covered by our hall insurance, except when employing third parties who must provide proof of their own public liability insurance.
• Expected to adopt our Safeguarding Policy for Children and Vulnerable Adults.
Groups
Groups may hire for a wide range of activities, on a casual or regular basis. Group hirers:
• Must have their own Public Liability Insurance.
• Provide their own Safeguarding Policy for Children and Vulnerable Adults.
• Regular hirers may be able to store small amounts of equipment at their own risk, subject to space.
FAQs
- Can we have a bouncy castle?
Yes, in the main hall only, as long as it’s for use only by the under 10’s. Your supplier (and any third party, e.g. children’s entertainer / caterer) must provide their own public liability insurance. Injuries or consequential damage to the hall are not covered by our insurers.
- Can we have a paid bar?
We do not object to alcohol being consumed in the hall but we do not have the necessary licence for alcohol to be sold. So, unfortunately, a paid bar is not possible.
- Do you cater for teenage parties?
Regrettably, we are unable to allow teenage parties, even if adults will be present. There have been a number of difficulties in the past and we have a responsibility towards our neighbours in this residential area.
- Are animals permitted in the hall?
Assistance dogs are welcome.
- What do we do with rubbish?
All rubbish must be removed by the hirer at the end of the event.
- How long do we have for setting up and tidying up?
Setting up and tidying up must be completed within the agreed period of hire.
Viewing
Viewing is by appointment only.
Booking
A booking is secured by completion of a signed booking form and payment of a £50 refundable security deposit (by cash or cheque only). This is returned in part if the booking is cancelled and in full if the hall is left clean and undamaged after the hire. An invoice will issued for your booking by email and must be paid by BACs.
The key code for access to the hall key will be emailed to you prior to your event and are collected from the key safe immediately before the event and returned immediately after the event.
