The neglected upright piano at
Locking Parish Hall presents a unique opportunity to enrich the community, much
like the public pianos celebrated in the TV show "The Piano."
Before investing in cleaning and tuning, it's crucial to gauge the potential for its utilization. The Assets & Amenities Committee is seeking input on whether the piano could become a valued asset rather than a dormant piece of furniture.
Are there existing groups using the hall who would incorporate the piano into their activities, from choirs or music classes to theatrical productions?
Beyond scheduled events, would there be interest in informal lunchtime sessions, where individuals could drop by to play and share their musical talents, similar to the spontaneous performances at the Sovereign Centre?
The goal is to unlock the piano's musical potential and transform it into a source of joy and creativity within the parish. Your thoughts and ideas on how to best leverage this beautiful instrument are highly valued.
